When I was a teenager, my parents didn’t like me taking medication because they felt that it could affect their children’s health. As a result, my grandparents took over for my mother and father to get rid of the medicine cabinet (the medicine cabinet wasn’t safe for us, so we had to go separate ways). They set up a separate bedroom for my younger brother and me. I also grew stronger with each step towards independence and eventually stopped any sort of medication they prescribed for me. My older sister who was born later on in life became addicted to morphine and went into pain-relieving drug abuse as well. Unfortunately, she died from overdose during treatment. However, she left behind four beautiful babies that were given birth prematurely and have lived full lives. It is amazing to know that we are now living in the modern era where people should not take drugs or alcohol by themselves. In addition, the world around them is very dangerous and having no form of substance can be extremely dangerous when someone uses it for self-medication. If something goes wrong with an individual or if a person dies because of it, it doesn’t mean that he/she should stop using drugs completely. The same thing applies to alcohol and drugs, it shouldn’t be seen as a problem just because somebody has a high blood pressure or some other medical issue. That is something that needs to be addressed and will continue to change but if an individual is going to stop drinking or taking drugs, there is a better way to do it than taking it yourself.

Meditation is one of the most popular and simplest ways to stop substance use. There are lots of different types of meditation that can help somebody stop substance use. Meditation can also slow down breathing and increase awareness which usually helps you to feel better. You should always remember that meditation is extremely beneficial for health and not only physically but it can be used in psychological healing. Meditation isn’t something that will be helpful only for certain people and needs to be practiced by everyone especially someone who wants to stop substance use. Meditation offers a healthy alternative to drugs and alcohol and makes them less harmful to your body and mind. It is also important to note that meditation is not perfect for everybody and everyone wants to meditate, therefore you need to try to find a time when it is most convenient for you. There are many free meditation apps available for Android and smartphones like Headspace, Zen Mode or Calm. These apps help you focus on what matters most to you and feel very peaceful.

Meditation with partners can be very effective if done together. Mediation with a partner is the best way to teach and practice meditation as you go through different things in life and as you learn more about your own mind and body and how to care for it. You never know what kind of experience could happen if a couple gets a chance to live together and interact and meditate together. Your partner might start feeling more comfortable to meditate and you can start to enjoy your daily practice and become a little more relaxed in the process. While working on a project or even just doing household chores at home, the best option would be to join a group of friends and use the mediation app together in order to create new experiences that you will cherish every day. You will know when to give up smoking and when it is okay to quit drinking. A good friend of mine used to keep a dog in his room while he slept. One of his dogs was a German shepherd called Maxx that loved dogs and he spent countless hours playing with Maxx and thinking about his dog as he slept next to Maxx. Every night for several weeks he would run away and play with Maxx and play with Maxx’s feelings. One day Maxx decided that there was no fun in being on the couch watching television and he jumped off the sofa and ran to an area nearby where Maxx belonged and played with him as he did with Maxx. After that night Maxx slept peacefully next to Maxx but when Maxx had a dream, Maxx jumped and danced in front of the television pretending to wake his owner. Maxx was very amused and talked with Maxx in his dreams and everyone was amazed. At that moment, Maxx finally understood that his owner was thinking more that he wanted Maxx to experience his dog playing. From that point onwards, Maxx’s owner started sleeping with Maxx to calm him and it worked because Maxx was too busy enjoying his pet dog and in the morning Maxx slept peacefully near Maxx. So, when Maxx would sleep next to Maxx, Maxx gave Maxx his favorite toy and Maxx would sleep happily next to Maxx.

But the dog doesn’t close his eyes and he continues to sit and meditate in every single part of the house. A dog is different as compared to human beings that can use technology or social media to socialize. Unlike human beings, the dog can’t use phones, cameras, watch tv like we do and he likes walking and running around in complete circles. What a lot of people don’t realize is that a dog is still a human and a little bit crazy. The dog will always look for his owners and is always looking for them. The dog even dances around before he sleeps and even wakes the dogs and he is just like a normal dog but he is aware and conscious of his surroundings. This is what makes a dog stand still and meditates in front of his owner or a person he loves. Before he closes his eyes, he meditates with the sound of birds chirping. When he closes them, he comes to his feet and starts walking again. Once his owner leaves the house, the dog jumps in the air and plays around with it as he does

I had never heard the word hair fall, and as a black woman of colour; I’ve always been considered sensitive about hair care. However, recently my hairstylist gave me a break from this perception. To her credit she understood and encouraged my skin, and took a more holistic approach in her treatment. We discussed how to use natural oils for our hair and what shampoo was suitable for each of us.

I also noticed that after the first appointment she went on to give a sample of Shea butter shampoo to all of our clients. This shampoo is an ingredient used in several different countries, but especially in African countries like Ghana. She explained that these ingredients are not found naturally found in Africa, yet many people have a liking to incorporate it in their daily product. In fact there is some evidence that Shea butter is known to cause growth in hair roots and is associated with negative effects for African women. The shampoo she suggested was made out of 100% pure gold-leaf extract, which she said was found by local herbalists who have claimed it to cure their hair’s root problems. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice any positive results from using this shampoo because I don’t have roots, nor do I have much healthy hair.

However, I did find another shampoo and conditioner recommended to help remedy my hair growth problem – ‘Aroma Treatment Shea Butter Shampoo & Conditioner’. I had heard of Aroma previously, however this shampoo and conditioner seemed different. Not only does the product contain organic, plant-based ingredients, but they are also tested and certified clean! So I bought these two products and I have tried them side by side. One application of this shampoo left my hair soft and thick, the next time it dried it appeared smooth and shiny. It is one of the most important and yet neglected functions of our body. Having a healthy body is important for everyone, but especially for people who are suffering from certain diseases or illnesses.


Healthy lifestyle is not only to prevent illness but also for better physical and mental health. In fact, there is no such term as “healthy” that we use in everyday life without it. The word comes out for us through various types of scientific researches including medical studies, observation of daily behavior and the application of special instruments and methods for scientific research. Nowadays, we can observe such an increasing number of people with the help of modern science, which gives us a new vision of those people whom the name “healthy” appears. Many people say to be healthy, while others state that they have to lose weight (and then some).

People, who are unhappy and sad with their bodies, are in the world where they should try not to suffer and then forget about something so terrible for them, like their body, and then suffer a lot from the same disease. But, there is also an opinion in this world that it is not necessary to make people happy and not to care for their body only one person, but everyone should do. No matter what religion someone belongs to, no matter how long he/she lives and how many children or grandchildren they have, everyone should try to improve the health and wellbeing of his/her body. A healthy body is extremely important, but today we need to find ways to protect and maintain good health and then follow your body.

Today, a large number of different things can affect our body, and the way we consume food plays an important role in them. Eating poor diet is among the leading causes of death and morbidity of human being. According to a recent study, at least 40% of Americans are obese and almost 10% of American men and women suffer from a heart disease and diabetes. To sum up, nowadays, there is no longer such an evil ‘disease’ as cancer. Cancer today is the second-leading cause of deaths; it is estimated that over 100,000 people die because of this disease every year. It becomes obvious, therefore, that nowadays, poor diet is the main reason why human beings suffer from a certain mental and physical problem.

Food is an element that can determine health. Food is very important in today’s society, so it becomes even more obvious that food is one of the main factors, which influence the health of all human being. There are many kinds of food that people eat, but not only rich in proteins and fats, but food that has sugar, salt, etc., too. These elements affect health, adversely – in fact, people tend to get ill with a high level of acidity and cholesterol. This is why, nowadays most people avoid eating meat with cheese or eggs, etc. People should realize that it is very unhealthy and dangerous to rely on ‘healthy’ food, and if they need to eat this kind of food, they should pay more attention to healthful and balanced food, but not to rich foods, processed food and fast food. People should know that by choosing food high in protein, healthy fats and other elements of good nutrition, they will be healthier and will not get sick, and this is why most of them choose this type of food.

Nowadays, millions of people choose to eat organic food. Even though this is very difficult, it is always possible to change their habits. Some people prefer buying natural food with fewer chemicals, additives, GMO, etc., because they feel safer and have more control over food, and, furthermore, they have more time.
